Ashley Sapir Lathrop

FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE HEALTH COACH, CLINICAL HERBALIST & EDUCATOR

Ashley Sapir Lathrop is a board-certified functional medicine health coach, clinical herbalist, educator, and writer. She is the founder of Dreamkeeper Botanicals, a health and wellness practice rooted in the powerful fusion of nature and science.

Ashley's path to healing began with a deep curiosity about traditional medicine and cultural approaches to wellness. She studied Anthropology and Gender Studies in college, which laid the foundation for her global exploration of ancestral healing methods. A pivotal moment in her journey came during a trip to Nicaragua, where she had the profound honor of studying with an indigenous midwife. That experience reshaped her understanding of health and medicine and inspired a lifelong dedication to holistic healing.

Since returning to the U.S., Ashley has traveled extensively to study plant medicine and holistic healthcare traditions with respected herbalists and indigenous healers. These experiences deeply informed the vision behind Dreamkeeper Botanicals, which she established in 2010. Through this practice, Ashley offers holistic health support, botanical care, and education to clients across diverse backgrounds and regions.

Passionate about bridging traditional medicine with modern healthcare, Ashley provides consulting and educational services to universities, small businesses, and individuals. Her work empowers others to integrate herbal and functional approaches into their own healing journeys and discover their unique path to optimal wellness.

In addition to her private practice, Ashley worked in the integrative health wing of the Iris Kaplan Center, a psychotherapy collective in Manhattan from 2018-2020. Since then she has been working collaboratively with doctors at a Functional Medicine Clinic in Westchester, NY.
